RESPOND
Recognise · Exhale · Shift · Purpose · Open Up · Navigate · Develop Others
A memorable framework for noticing what has changed, creating enough space to respond and choosing a useful next step.

Real Talk. Real Healing.
“I didn’t bounce back. I rebuilt.”
I’m Anthony Pymm, a serving Australian Detective Sergeant, author and founder of Healing Behind the Badge Consulting. My own experience of PTSD and recovery changed the way I understand pressure, identity and asking for help. I now bring those lessons into practical education for first responders and families, people dealing with everyday stress, and organisations that want to support their teams. My work includes online courses, an interactive book, a free wellbeing app and honest conversations that help people take the next step.

I bring 27 years of frontline experience and the lessons of my own PTSD recovery into honest, practical talks and workshops. I work with teams, leaders, organisations and community groups to recognise pressure early, support people well and make it easier to ask for help.
Sessions can cover wellbeing, resilience, trauma-informed leadership, psychological safety and recovery. Whether your audience works in emergency services or another setting, I shape each session around their experiences and give them something useful to take back into work and life.
RESPOND and the Four Pillars bring structure to the ideas Anthony shares across his talks, courses and practical tools. They were shaped by frontline experience, lived experience of PTSD and the continuing work of recovery.
